The TETFund Centre of Excellence for Integrated Farming System (TCoEIFS), Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has paid a working visit to the North East Zonal Office of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Bauchi on Monday 9th October, 2023.The visit which has in attendance members of the Centre’s “New Entrepreneurship and Spin-offs Committee” was in response to the invitation of the NBTI’s Management who were at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi on 5th October, 2023, to kickstart discussion for collaboration between the two organisations in areas of common interests.The TCoEIFS team led by the Centre Director Dr. Kolawole Richard was received by the Deputy Zonal Director, Zone F of the NBTI Mr. Selfa Wuyep Fadam in company of the Bauchi Technology Incubation Centre Director Ibrahim Ndanusa and other staff of the Zone.In his welcome address, Mr Fadam highlighted the areas the Board was willing to collaborate with the Tetfund Centre of Excellence for Integrated Farming System, Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi to include technology incubation, promotion and development. During the visit, the TCoEIFS team was taken through a lecture on “9ja Made App” by one of the entrepreneurs, an application that connects customers to proudly made in Nigeria products. Speaking during the visit, the Director Tetfund Centre of Excellence for Integrated Farming System, Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi Dr kolawole Richard commended the National Board for Technology Incubation on their efforts and requested the Centre Director to allocate space for the Centre which was granted.It was resolved that a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations will be drafted and signed in due course. Highlights of the visit was TCoEIFS team being taken round the various business incubation premises/units of the Technology Incubation Centre which are Chime Foods: Makers of Date Powder, Acha, Breakfast Cereals, Malnutrition formula, etc; Cream production; Groundnut oil processing plant and Agro machines fabrication. Others are Animal feed production; Assorted machines design and fabrication; Rice mills (various types and sizes); Spices production; Nutri-foods plant and Mattress refurbishing plant.Also in attendance for the visit from TCoEIFS were Deputy Director Dr. Aliyu Mohammed Gadam, Centre Admin Haj. Rahinatu Abdullahi, Team Leader Post-harvest Engr. (Mrs.) Victoria Ada Abodenyi and Team Leader Fabrication Engr. Dr. Shua’ibu Balogun. Other members of the New Entrepreneurship and Spin-offs Committee were Mr. Idibeke-Abasi Edward Udosen, Mal. Abdulkadir Abubakar and Mal. Abdulrazaq Ahmed Bello.
