A team of monitors from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) has visited the TETFUND Centre of Excellence for Integrated Farming System Federal Polytechnic Bauchi on Wednesday 31st May, 2023.

Speaking during the visit, leader of the team Haj. Hadiza Ismail they at the Polytechnic to see the progress the Centre was making since inception last year.

She took time to guide to the Centre staff on the various windows of opportunities the Centre stands to gain with commitment and determination.

In their separate remarks, Director of the Centre Dr. Kolawole Richard and his Deputy Dr. Aliyu Muhammad Gadam appreciated the team for the visit and rolled out the amount of work and commitment the Centre has invested in ensuring that it met the requirements set by the Fund.

The efforts put in place, according to the top Centre Management, are: assembling a team of dedicated professionals as key staff, signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with local and international partners, running of short courses, organising the first ever “Made in Bauchi” Agro Innovation Fair in partnership with MEDA Way Africa and securing a 100 hectares land for rice farming and opening a dedicated account for the Centre.

The team was taken round the temporary office of the Centre and new one under rehabilitation as well as the fishery section.
