The Made in Bauchi Agro Innovation Fair which was jointly organised by the TETFund Centre of Excellence in Integrated Farming System Federal Polytechnic Bauchi and Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) witnessed the exhibition of varieties of farm machinery, crop processing implements and display of supplements produced by the Departments of Science Laboratory Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics and Tourism Management Technology.
Local fabricators from across seven (7) Local Governments of Bauchi and final year students of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi graced the occasion and participated in the fair by showcasing their works ranging from rice threshers, soya beans processors, rice destoners, rice harvesters, robotic herbicides sprayers etc.
Also featured on the sideline of the event were the improved rice seeds variety from Green Agriculture West Africa Limited (GAWAL), VICA Foods among other vendors whose products are agribusiness related.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of award letters to the best 20 fabricators by the Centre Director, Dr. Kolawole Richard and MEDA’s Environment Smart Technology Coordinator Engr. Salihu Samuel Wamdeo.
